For this shingle re-roof, responsibilities included protecting the interior attic and garage spaces with painter’s plastic, followed by the demolition of the old roofing system. The woodwork phase of this project called for CDX plywood, shiplap, and fascia. What followed was the installation of GAF self-adhered membranes, synthetic underlayment, starter shingles, drip edge, pipe flashings, and chimney counter flashings. This served as preparation for ten roof dormers and the application of GAF Timberline HDZ shingles in the color Charcoal. A paint in the same Charcoal color will be used to paint all the sealed flashings.
